SITUATION      ( O.S. Grid Ref:  SO 143 246  Explorer 200  or  Landranger 148 )  See Location Plan on Page 4

Glanyrafon is set in a peaceful location with access over a Council maintained ‘no through road’ (that continues to Pant Farm). The house built on a slightly elevated plot with a Westerly aspect, is surrounded by fields and all of the rooms have beautiful views.  It is about 100 yards from a set of farm buildings and the surrounding area has lots of quiet lanes and paths over hills and moors for exhilarating walks, two riding stables.  Dolau is a scattered rural community set on the Western side of the    Radnor Forest, with a Primary School, Community Centre and 4 x 4 Garage (1.9 miles) and Railway Station (1.6 miles - Shrewsbury to Swansea Line).  The village of Penybont has a fine old Public House (2.4 miles), Community Centre and Garage and there is a Petrol Service Station (with a Nisa mini-Supermarket and Café) at Crossgates (4½ miles), at the intersection of the A44 and A483 (Manchester to Swansea) Trunk roads.  The County Town of Llandrindod Wells has a good range of   amenities to include a Tesco Superstore, Aldi Supermarket, successful Secondary School, Cottage Hospital, Theatre, Leisure Centre, Indoor and Outdoor Bowls, 18-hole Golf Course.  In the 2015 and 2017 Rightmove Surveys the Llandrindod Wells area (LD1) was declared “the friendliest place to move to in the UK” and “Happiest town in Wales”.  The border towns of Knighton, Presteigne and Kington are within 15 miles, and Hereford, Ludlow, Leominster and Aberystwyth are about an hours’ drive.
